Strawberry Rasagulla | Valentine's Day Rasagulla

My heartiest wishes to all my love-able readers, blogger friends out there!!
❤   Happy Valentine's day

On this special day let me share with you a lovely dessert. Make the softest and spongiest rasagullas ever by following this simple preparation method. This is the easiest ever also no tricks nor extra tips needed, even a beginner will be able to get the spongiest rasagullas without any flaws. As I have already said in my previous posts, I am so keenly interested in Indian sweets to include them in the valentine's day menu, so I kept squeezing my brain and finally came up with this delectable sweet. I was very doubtful while proceeding and so just experimented with little milk, similarly did not take any step by step clicks as I wasn't sure of the result, but I was so amazed and awestruck with the outcome. Now I have definitely decided to make these very often, so next time when I make this I will definitely update the step by step clicks. Everyone in the family loved these super soft rasagullas and all were pleased with the inviting and delectable color and flavor. Though they are not sweet lovers nor rasagulla lovers the bowl got all over in just a few seconds!!! The strawberry flavor added more pleasing flavor to the rasagullas and you would have never eaten such soft rasagullas ever. The texture was perfect and softer than the ordinary rasagullas and I was even thinking of renaming it as marshmallow rasagullas. Am sure this will be a great treat for kids and would be a perfect valentine's day dessert. Do try and let me know your feedback. Sorry for too many clicks I just fell in love with these its pink cuties and couldn't stop clicking J
To check out the normal rasagulla preparation click here!!

INGREDIENTS

Makes 6 to 8 small rasagullas
Preparation time - 5 minutes for preparation and 5 hours for refrigeration.
  1. Strawberry jelly powder - 15 grams
  2. Milk - 250 ml
  3. Cardamom pods - 3 (crushed)
  4. Sugar - 3 spoons

PREPARATION METHOD

  • Boil milk and when it is still boiling add the jelly powder and stir well, it will start curdling. Now remove from flame and set aside for  few minutes to let it curdle well.
  • Now use a strainer or a muslin cloth and strain excess whey water, you can pour this water into moulds to prepare jellies, it will set well. So do not discard the whey water.
  • Now squeeze off excess water from the prepared paneer using your hands until you can no longer squeeze out water.
  • Then refrigerate the whey water jelly moulds and this paneer over night or for just 5 hours. (you can see a red colored jelly and a pink jelly in my pic's background, the pink one is the whey water jelly and the red one is the normal water jelly)
  • Now after 5 hours remove from refrigerator and crumble it, then knead well for a few minutes and make small oval shaped balls out of it and set aside.
  • Now place a sauce pan on flame and add water (150 ml / 1 cup) and sugar into it, then add crushed cardamom pods and stir well.
  • When the sugar water boils drop in the prepared balls gently and close the sauce pan with a lid.
  • Cook on low flame. After 2 to 3 minutes open the pan to check if the balls have puffed up well and has tripled in size. (You wont believe it just takes 3 to 5 minutes for the rasagullas to get ready, these will puff up beautifully, and when you touch it, it will be so soft!)
  • Now remove from flame and set aside closed until it cools down to room temperature. Refrigerate if you want to serve it chilled. You can add chopped strawberries before serving. Serve along with the sugar syrup!!

TIP 1: The milk will get curdled up well and so there is no need for adding lemon but if the milk doesn't curdle up then add some lemon juice.

TIP 2: The paneer balls that we have prepared will already be sweet as we have added jelly powder, so little sugar is enough to make the sugar syrup.

Softest.... Spongiest and Super luscious Strawberry rasagullas are now ready!! Impress your valentine with these cuties!!

Sending this recipe to Priya Suresh akka's event!

The Bible says;

"Love your neighbor as yourself;
There is no commandment greater than these."

Love is not a word/term of affection denoted for couples nor the married. Bible says to even love your neighbors, moreover it is a command not just a guideline nor request. Who is your neighbor by the way? Is he/she the one who dwells near your home, may be dictionarily it is correct but, here the Lord denotes every human whom you come across in your lifetime!! and also every brother and sister whom you haven't seen until now, living all around the world!! Love them all like you would love yourself no one hates himself, even if he exclaims so.. he does nothing to hurt his own body!! We groom ourselves, we try to get the best for ourselves and seek goodness everywhere, we want everyone to forgive us easily, this is the same thing God expects us to do for others!! Do what you want others to do for you!! They feel the same pain you will feel there are the same and they deserve to be loved, because God loves them equally just like He loves us. Have empathy for others only then you can love them, put yourself in their shoes and understand your fellow people and love them just like you'd love yourself!! When everybody follows this command no one will even dare to hurt others and am sure there will be no violence out there.

Love and you will get love in return
Smile and you get a smile in return
Hurt and you will get hurt in return
Do a favor and someone will do a favor for you
People are just like mirrors they reflect what you show to them!!
Do unto others what you want them to do for you!!

Love thy neighbors and get loved!!

Above all Love God who gave himself for us who brought us salvation!!
He is the only one who loved us more than any other, that he gave his life for us on the cross!!

❤ ❤  Happy Valentine's day   ❤
